About

Max is the Director of the Overhead Athletic Institute. He a Doctor of Physical Therapy and pitched collegiately for the Concordia University Ann Arbor Cardinals varsity baseball team for two seasons before transferring to Oakland University to complete his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration on Exercise Science. Shortly after Max's collegiate baseball career ended he began a three year apprenticeship under Ed Martel, the founder of the Overhead Athletic Institute, orthopedic physical therapist, and former professional pitcher.

Max is the head of education for the Overhead Athletic Institute instructing in the Martel Method, orthopedic rehabilitation, and throwing biomechanics. Max is a physical therapist and throwing athlete rehabilitation consultant for HealthQuest Physical Therapy and has co-authored the book Rehab to Throw Like a Pro: The Clinician's Guide.
